Appraisals
Most often Ocean Tomo is asked to provide its independent opinion as to the appraised value of the intellectual property in question. On each assignment we:
- Assess the entire factual situation and determine both the context of the appraisal and the purpose of the ultimate conclusion.
- Consider all the major valuation methodologies to determine first, which ones can be utilized under the present circumstances; and second, which ones are the best suited for reliable, well-supported conclusions.
- Consider all relevant information, both quantitative and (often more importantly) qualitative, and consolidate qualified data down to the key determinants of value.
- Anticipate the rigorous scrutiny of our work by all parties involved, including the Federal government. Our final appraisal report is sensitive to its key assumptions and presents a comprehensive, balanced conclusion that is fully supported by market studies, internal documents, interviews, and independent research
